In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of basket weaving and create a small finished basket from start to finish. We’ll cover basic weaving techniques, shaping, and finishing. This class is beginner-friendly and requires no prior experience. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a completed basket and a solid understanding of the foundational techniques behind traditional basketry. Ages 14-18

In this workshop, you’ll create your own handmade tic-tac-toe set. We’ll use slab-building techniques to construct the board, then sculpt and personalize the playing pieces. You can stick with classic X’s and O’s or come up with your own theme. Come back to glaze on August 17th. Once fired and glazed, your finished set becomes a durable, functional piece you can actually play with, perfect for family game nights or as a handmade gift. This regular climbing session on Thursday evenings at 5 pm is open to those who have previous climbing experience. Top ropes are set up by the OAC staff at the Ross Park climbing area. We provide the ropes and equipment to ISU students with valid Bengal card free of charge. Community members and ISU faculty/staff can purchase a season pass for $30 or a day pass for $3 onsite or online.
