How East Idaho Signal handles the information you share with us. The short version: we use it to run the site and follow up with you, and we keep your contact details private.
What we collect
When you submit a business, nonprofit, resource, event, correction, contact message, or sponsor inquiry, we collect what you type into the form. That usually includes the listing details plus your name and email so we can reach you about your submission.
Like most websites, we also collect basic, anonymous usage data through Google tools to understand which pages people visit. This does not identify you personally.
How we use it
We use your submission to review, edit, and publish the listing, or to respond to your message. We use your name and email to follow up with you about what you sent.
Your name and email stay admin-only. They are never shown on a public listing or anywhere in the public directory. We built the site this way on purpose.
What we do not do
We do not sell your information. We do not share your contact details publicly. We do not add you to a mailing list just because you submitted a form.
Newsletter and event submissions
Our newsletter signup and event submission run through our email and event tools. If you sign up for The Weekly Signal or submit an event there, that information is handled through those tools so we can send the newsletter or process the event.
Removing or correcting your information
If you want a listing corrected or removed, or you want your contact details deleted from our review records, send a note through our Contact or Suggest a Correction forms and we will take care of it.
A community resource
East Idaho Signal is an independent community resource, not a government agency or official record. If you have questions about your information, reach out any time.
